A Thursday ribbon-cutting and open house officially recognized the reopening of the Woodstock Chattahoochee Technical College campus after a two year renovations process.
The location on North Main Street dates back to the 1930s as the old Woodstock Elementary School. The Chattahoochee system leased the building from the Cherokee school district in 2004 and acquired it outright in 2013.
Vice President for Facilities David Simmons said the $5.3 million renovation included improvements to the roofs, windows, electrical system, HVAC and plumbing. The 46,000-square-foot building houses 13 classrooms, a library, faculty offices and office space.
