Mike Jaeggi wants something done about a broken water main.
“I live in Roswell and there is a broken water main that has been flooding the road since December that still has not been fixed. I have contacted Fulton County water several times and was told ‘we will look into it’ but it still leaks,” Jaeggi said.
He added that the leak is at the corner of Hembree Road and Crabapple Road in Roswell. Jaeggi said there are two homes that appear to be empty with water leaking into the street from broken pipes: 400 Hembree Road and 408 Hembree Road.
“The water floods the intersection at Hembree and Crabapple and ices over when it’s cold, causin.g many cars to skid when turning left or right at the intersection. If you could look into it, that would be great,” he said.
We sent the issue to Fulton County and will let you know when it is resolved.

Bev Hart is concerned over the road conditions at Summitridge Drive and Northlake Trail.
“This corner is within five houses of the Dekalb Pleasantdale Elementary School and is the only bus route to the school for the 45 years I have lived here. Last year, heavy equipment was brought in to the corner to repair,” she wrote.
She said the road has deteriorated with weather and traffic, and poses a risk to pedestrians and drivers.

Many times we get a question from one of our loyal readers that focuses on laws instead of cracks in the pavement or poorly-timed lights. Last week, we received a question about large trucks.
“Are 18-wheeler trucks still required to use the two far right lanes? If so, there are a lot of violators and not being properly enforced. Also, vehicles hauling materials, furniture, etc., need to have a high fine if items are not properly secured and fall off the vehicle; the public needs to be aware of the higher fines,” the reader wrote.
We got a quick response from the Department of Transportation.
“The restriction is as posted; so it’s different depending on where you are on the interstate. Also, important to note GDOT is not an enforcement agency so things like citations for violating this regulation would come from the Georgia State Patrol,” said DOT spokeswoman Natalie Dale.
