Fixed!-Atlanta
In November, we told you about Pamela Chawkin wanting help with a situation near one of Atlanta’s toniest shopping areas. She wanted crosswalk signals improved on Phipps Blvd
She said adjustments needed to be made at Phipps Boulevard and Alexander Road and at the traffic light at Wieuca Road and Phipps Boulevard.
We learned last week that all systems were go.
“I wanted to say thank you for the new crosswalk signals and traffic lights at the intersection. As of yesterday, they started working and give time to cross Phipps Blvd with signaling that I truly think will save lives and reduce accidents as our area continues to gain new residents,” Chawkin wrote.

Danielle Houret-Lam wants help with dangerous street parking on Slaton Road.
“Everyday cars going to the Swan Coach House park on the street. Traffic turning onto Slaton Road from West Paces Ferry Road or continuing straight from East Andrews Drive have no place to go if a car on Slaton is in the turn lane. There have been many times I have seen cars turning left from W. Paces onto Slaton almost hit cars sitting in the turn lane,” she wrote.
We sent her concerns to the city and will keep you updated.

Fixed! I-285 at Riverdale Road
In early February, we told you about Curtis Ball’s issue with a traffic signal at a busy interstate off ramp.
“Would you please tell the proper jurisdiction that the traffic signal at the off ramp of I-285 West at Riverdale Road is timed incorrectly. The red signal for the ramp traffic holds entirely too long while the green signal for Riverdale Road is basically handling a minute traffic flow compared to what’s backing up on the ramp,” he wrote.
We heard back from Ball the issue had been addressed.
“I’d like to express my thanks to you for your help in resolving a major headache for commuters using this ramp. Within days of you reporting this problem to the state DOT, the problem was remedied and now the ramp traffic moves smoothly as it is supposed to do. I cannot thank you enough,” he wrote.
