Jamie Hatcher-Martin hopes something can be done about a dangerous curve.
“I am writing to express concern regarding a dangerous curve in the road in front of our house at 3277 Rockbridge Road in Avondale Estates. When we bought the house in 2009, the posted speed limit along Rockbridge was 35 mph. Subsequently, it was increased to 45 mph despite this being a residential area,” she wrote.
She said over the last six to seven years, her family has had six cars breach the property - twice on each end - and either destroy our fence (four times) or actually hit our house (twice).
“We don’t believe the change in the speed limit is the sole cause of these accidents but do believe that it is a contributing factor. We feel that there are several reasonable mitigations that the county could pursue,” she added.

A pothole is giving Larry Donaldson fits.
“There is a very large and deep pothole that crosses, by at least a foot, over the white, right side lane boundary stripe in the northbound lane of Highway 92 as it meets Highway 41 in northwest Cobb County. My wife hit the pothole this week and destroyed both the right front tire and wheel, bent the suspension, and scraped the bottom of the front end spoiler. The cost of this damage will be a couple of thousand dollars when all is repaired. Knowing how busy this intersection is, I’m sure others have hit this hole. It has been growing for months,” said Donaldson.

Tom Beebe hopes a pothole can be fixed at the junction of Mathieson Drive and Mathieson Place.
“There is a foot deep pothole on Mathieson Drive near this intersection. It sure would be easier on my car/tires if someone filled it,” he wrote. We sent the issue to the city and will let you know the outcome.
