Fred Pollard hopes something can be done about a drain cover.
“The drain cover in front of Burbanck Park at the corner of Clifton and Oxford roads in DeKalb County, sustained damage more than one year ago. Last spring, a warning sign and caution tape was placed at the site. The caution tape has been gone for several months, but repairs have never been made. Does DeKalb County have a protocol for follow up and repair of known hazards?” he asked.

Doug Wilson hopes something can be done about Interstate 285.
“On several occasions, lately, my wife and I have had the chance to drive I-285 at night. We have thanked our lucky stars that we made it home particularly when it is raining. I am not talking about rush hour, but after rush hour when cars resume their normal racing speed. My complaint is the poor quality of the lane markings and lack of reflectors. Generally, you are traveling at 55 plus miles an hour with tractor trailer rigs flying by. The problem with poor land markings is that it can make it very, very, very difficult to ensure that you are in the proper position on the freeway and with the speed of traffic, you are not granted much room for error,” he wrote.

Drew Plant wants something done about an intersection.
“On Citadel Drive between the intersections of Citadel Drive/Beech Haven Road and Citadel/Wild Creek Trail , the road is washing away above a culvert that runs under the street. The yawning crater has widened and will eventually collapse the street. Currently it impedes traffic and is a danger, especially when rains swell the creek and rushing water shoots up from the hole in the street,” he wrote.
He said the problem first appeared several months ago and eventually DeKalb County put yellow hazard tape and traffic cones out.
“Then they came back a month after that and filled in the hole with a composite gravel material, but did not really repair the damage. Recent heavy rains have washed this temporary ‘repair’ away… and the hole has greatly increased in size,” he said.
