Suwanee Police are seeking area residents for the next Citizens Police Academy. Participants will obtain a hands-on glimpse behind the badge and a better understanding of the risks and day-to-day responsibilities of Suwanee police officers. The ten-week program meets 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Monday evenings beginning April 6 at the Suwanee Police Substation/Training Center, 2966 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road.

The academy offers training and hands-on exposure in crime scene processing, traffic stops, building searches, crime prevention, and narcotics identification.
