The Suwanee City Council recently voted to approve two amendments to the alcohol ordinance. The first will expand the Town Center entertainment district to reflect new construction across Buford Highway.

The second amendment will permit the consumption of alcohol outdoors in the Town Center district. This applies to beer, wine, and/or mixed drinks purchased from a licensed eating establishment, downtown pub, and/or mobile food vendor-served establishment located in the Town Center District. The beer, wine, and/or mixed drink must also be served in a “non-glass container affixed with a sticker or similar as prescribed by the city designating that it is authorized for outside consumption” in the Town Center district.
