Sugar Hill officials, residents and business leaders gathered on April 23 to dedicate the city’s new E Center. The city broke ground in 2016 on the mixed-use development to create a downtown area and as a catalyst to future growth.

The E Center boasts a 406-seat performing arts theater, gymnasium, and 43,000 square feet of restaurant, retail, office and meeting space, all overlooking the city’s outdoor amphitheater, The Bowl. The E Center is soon to be home to four new businesses: Central City Tavern, Indio Brewing, and Perazim, and Sweet City Smiles.

As evidence the plan is working, a new mixed-use urban-style residential and commercial project, Broadstone, is also under construction. Coming later in 2019 will be a multi-story, urban style senior living facility that will include independent living, assisted living as well as memory care and deluxe cottages, currently being referred to as Dogwood at Sugar Hill.
