Following a public hearing, the Sugar Hill City Council approved a zoning change to allow Spartan Developers I, LLC to remove a planned community swimming pool and gazebo at a subdivision planned for 856 Level Creek Road.
The developer argued the planned subdivision on 23.73 acres is close to E.E. Robinson Park mitigating the need for these amenities. Spartan Developers also believe the change will allow for rearranging the lot depths and drainage channels allowing for additional permanent screening.
The property was annexed and rezoned in 2014 to allow for the 51-lot single-family development to be named Rockhaven.
