Beginning Nov. 26, Duluth’s street sweeping contractor will return to sweep the busy city streets at night. New this year, the street sweeper will sweep subdivision and neighborhood streets during the day.
The project is expected to take approximately four to six weeks to complete. Staff will begin posting temporary no parking signs along the streets at least 24 hours prior to street sweeping.
Residents are reminded to remove vehicles, garbage, recycling and yard waste containers from the street when the street sweepers are in their area. Residents are also asked to trim low-hanging branches and bushes near the street to provide street sweepers complete access. Dispose of leaves and lawn debris properly, and do not blow them into the streets or drains.
