A Stone Mountain woman used her own lucky numbers to win $1 million in the Georgia Lottery.

Sherilyn Johnson, a 46-year-old medical assistant, matched the first five winning numbers in the Feb. 28 Mega Millions drawing, but she didn’t know it right away.

“I was checking new tickets when I ran across an old ticket,” she said in a news release. “I check the numbers online. I was calm but I couldn’t believe it.”

The winning numbers were 3, 31, 50, 58 and 59, and the Mega Ball was 6.

Johnson bought her lucky ticket at a QuikTrip on Satellite Boulevard in Duluth. She claimed her prize March 6 at Duluth’s Georgia Lottery office.
