The city of Stone Mountain recently won a regional award for its focus on green design and construction of its new municipal building.
The Greater Atlanta Homebuilders Association and Southface awarded the building its 2012 project at the year at a recent expo in Atlanta. It is the first municipally owned building to receive the EarthCraft Light Commercial certification, recognizing buildings of less than 15,000 square feet for use of environmentally friendly construction.
