The Stone Mountain Community Improvement District is in the design stages for streetlight improvements to one of the area’s busiest intersections.
The plan is to install new lights at the Highway 78-Mountain Industrial Boulevard interchange, one of the district’s gateway intersections.
The district is using part of a $500,000 grant from the Georgia’s State Road and Tollway Authority for the work.
Among other projects to be done with the grant will be the widening of turning lanes at the Mountain Industrial intersection with East Ponce de Leon Avenue.
