Stockbridge wants to beef up the small businesses in its community.

The Stockbridge Main Street Program plans to hold a networking and small business social at 6 p.m. Friday at the Ted Strickland Community Center, 130 Martin Luther King Sr. Heritage Trail in Stockbridge.

The event is designed to let businessowners -- from restaurateurs to barbers to spa operators -- get promotional ideas, network and become involved in the Small Business Saturday community.

Those interested can RSVP on Eventbrite or call (678) 833-3306 with questions.
