The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its June 18 regular meeting to approve a rezoning request for 18 acres at the intersection of Bowen Road and Hwy. 138 east of Stockbridge.

The applicant plans to develop 13 lots, each with a minimum of 30,000 square feet, for a single-family residential subdivision. The unanimous vote to approve came with several conditions. Those include homes at least 2,500 square feet with three-car garages and brick on four sides, with a monument sign at the entrance to the neighborhood.

Other regulations in place for that area include landscaping and sidewalks with pedestrian lighting.
