The Stockbridge City Council voted Feb. 26 to extend its moratorium on certain business license applications for 180 days.

According to a statement, the city will deny the acceptance of new hair salons, nail salons, barber shops, tire shops, pawn shops, title lending shops, cash-for-title shops, vapor shops, thrift and consignment stores, auto shops, used appliance stores, tattoo shops and assembly uses.

This is the second extension to the moratorium which was initially implemented in 2018. City officials are still in the process of rewriting the zoning ordinance, and no revised ordinance has yet come before the council for a vote.
