The Georgia General Assembly has approved money for a $19.8 million science building at Clayton State University. The money will come from the state’s 2014 budget for the University System of Georgia. The budget is still subject to final approval by Governor Nathan Deal. Additional labs and classroom space for the natural sciences have been a need for Clayton State since the university has expanded from 4675 students in 2001 to more than 7000 students currently.
