South Metro Development Outlook Conference, the largest of its kind in metro Atlanta, highlights continued economic growth in the southern region and collaboration between government, elected officials, chambers of commerce and private sector partners. Continued and sustained growth in the south metro region depends on the leadership and vision that stimulates – and delivers – high caliber economic growth.

Moderated by Al Nash, executive director of the Development Authority of Fulton County, the South Metro Economic Development Highlights session is set to highlight real-world examples of how government agencies have grown more sophisticated in their approach to retaining, attracting, and stimulating investment in south metro communities. A panel including Robb Pitts, chairman of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, Romona Jones, chairman of the Douglas County Board of Commissioners, Carlotta Ungaro, president and CEO of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce, and Leonard Sledge, executive director of the Henry County Development Authority will discuss new and emerging economic development projects in south metro.

The conference is set for 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22 at the Georgia International Convention Center, 2000 Convention Center Concourse in College Park.
