The South Cobb Redevelopment Authority has announced its public meeting schedule for this year, with all meetings starting at 9 a.m.

They are Jan. 16 and Feb. 16 at the South Cobb Government Center, 4700 Austell Road, Austell.

For March 16, April 20 and May 18, the location changes to the Mable House Arts Center, 5239 Floyd Road, Mableton.

The June 15 and July 20 meetings return to the South Cobb Government Center.

Then the Aug. 17, Sept. 21, Oct. 19 and Nov. 16 meetings will be at the Mable House Arts Center.

The last meeting of the year will be Dec. 21 at the South Cobb Government Center.

Reactivated in 2011 by the Georgia General Assembly, the authority is focused on the revitalization of the Mableton, River Line and Six Flags areas.

Comprised of seven appointed members, the authority may issue bonds to assist in financing infrastructure improvements and market properties to real estate developers for redevelopment opportunities.
