Snellville Police have postponed the city’s Public Safety Night, originally scheduled for tonight, Sept. 29, due to persistent rain. The event will now take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, on the Towne Green.

This free, family-oriented evening is designed to allow the public to ask questions of police and learn ways to ensure personal, road and gun safety, and financial, home and pet security. Snellville police vehicles with anti-crime accessories, tactical equipment and weapons, and the SPD Special Response Team will be on hand. The Air-Evac Lifeteam Helicopter, Fire Department equipment and personnel, Animal Control, the Bomb Squad’s van, the UGA roll over demonstration vehicle, EMS and first responders will attend.

Members of the Snellville Citizens Police Academy and information on the free emergency notification system Code RED will be available. Information: www.snellville.org.
