Snellville took the step Monday of administering the oath of office to Melisa Arnold completing her reappointment as city clerk.
The city clerk position was recently vacated by Phyllis Moreland-Richardson, who was fired last month during the first city council meeting under the new leadership of Mayor Tom Witts and two new council members.
Arnold resigned last year during the trial between former mayor Kelly Kautz and the city council. Moreland-Richardson is currently suing Snellville in federal court for allegedly preventing her from access to materials to competently perform her job.
