Snellville officials and residents participated recently in the Atlanta Regional Commission Workshop for Walk and Bike Friendly Communities. The workshop was part of the ARC’s effort to make Atlanta-area cities more walkable and bike friendly.

Snellville admits the city has more work to do to improve walking and biking conditions. However the ARC cited the city’s Livable Centers Initiative sidewalk project downtown as a major achievement toward reaching that goal.

Snellville will now take recommendations collected from the workshop and begin to implement them. Information: www.atlantaregional.com/bikeped.
