A Snellville restaurant with “egg roll” in its moniker failed its health inspection for a second time due to egg rolls being stored incorrectly and a moldy ice maker, among other violations.

Mr. Egg Roll, located at 3303 Centerville Highway, failed its Georgia Department of Public Health inspection with a score of 58/ U Tuesday, according to a GDPH inspection report.  In a follow-up inspection in October, Mr. Egg Roll scored a 92, but had failed its routine September inspection.

A health inspector noted such violations as egg rolls, spring rolls and wontons stored in a residential cooler with no date marks, build-up of mold-like substance in the ice machine and butter stored in a reused vinegar bottle.

Employee food was also stored in the same area as commercial food items, according to the report.

The Gwinnett County health inspector suggested staff clean the area around the back door of pollen accumulation and repair a leaky valve at the wok station.

A follow-up inspection will be conducted next week.
