July 15, 2011The Smyrna City Council will hold a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. Monday to discuss a proposed urban redevelopment plan that could bring tax credits to employers.
The plan applies to commercial properties in the city’s north side, and would pave the way for Smyrna to become eligible for a Georgia Department of Community Affairs Opportunity Zone. The state designation allows business owners the maximum job tax credit of $3,500.00 per job for five years.
The hearing is during the council meeting, at 2800 King St. in Smyrna.
