Smyrna city officials are planning two events this month to gather community input on a transit study and a downtown master plan update.
They include:
- Connect at REV - Transit Study Information Session: 1-3 p.m. Oct. 25 at REV Coffee, 1680 Spring Road SE, Smyrna to find out about Smyrna Connects, fill out a survey and tell your thoughts on transit. Residents also may fill out the survey online at SmyrnaConnects.com.
- Smyrna B.O.L.D. Downtown Master Plan Update - Community Open House 1: 6-8 p.m. Oct. 29. Brawner Hall, 3180 Atlanta Road, Smyrna. City officials have kicked off their downtown master plan update to identify ways to create a healthier, more walkable downtown that offers improved services and expanded public amenities, according to a city statement. At this first community open house, goals and objectives of the "Smyrna B.O.L.D. - Building on the Legacy of Downtown" effort will be shared. Initial plan input will be offered through hands-on exercises. This open house meeting will include no formal presentation, so drop in anytime.
