Smyrna increases field rental fees

New rental fees for athletic fields and complexes were approved unanimously Dec. 18 by the Smyrna City Council.

The former fee schedule had been set up on an hourly basis for all field rentals of $20 to $45 per hour.

The new fee schedule breaks down rentals into single-field and complex rentals.

• Single field: $60 for two hours, $20 for each additional hour and $165 for eight hours or more at Cobb, Chuck Camp, Tolleson and Ward Parks.
• $500 daily at Riverline and Jonquil Soccer Complex and Brinkley Baseball Complex.
• $450 daily at Brinkley (Wagon Wheel - three fields).
• $450 daily at Chuck Camp Baseball Complex.
• $300 daily at Tolleson Complex.

An additional required fee of $300 will pay for two maintenance personnel to be on site during the rental.

Now a two-hour minimum is required for single-field and complex rentals.
