Smyrna employees to receive merit increases

Staff merit increases were approved 7-0 Monday by the Smyrna City Council.
City employees will receive their merit increases on Jan. 2.
A budget amendment of up to $270,000 from the city’s general fund contingency will be used for this increase.
Applicable taxes are included in the total.
