A new road will be built in Smyrna to help relieve congestion.
Ohmshiv Construction was the lowest bidder at nearly $1.4 million to construct Glendale Place between South Cobb Drive and Old Concord Road.
That bid was approved Monday by the Smyrna City Council.
The roadway will provide congestion relief in the area and access to South Cobb Drive at a signalized intersection.
The final two parcels for the project may face condemnation for the taking of asphalt only, City Administrator Mike Jones said during the city’s Committee of the Whole meeting on March 14.
