Hall County authorities have issued a sketch of a "person of interest" in the April shooting death of a Gainesville businessman.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office said Friday the unidentified man is Hispanic, 19 to 24 years old, 5-foot-5 tall and weighs 135 pounds.

He is wanted for questioning in the slaying of David Sanchez, who was shot during a robbery April 12 near Victory Foods, a food processing plant on Industrial Drive in Gainesville, said Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks of the sheriff's office.

A $10,000 reward fund has been established by Sanchez's family.

Sanchez owned a party and events store on Atlanta Highway in Gainesville. Investigators said they believe he may have been targeted because he also did on-site check-cashing for poultry plant workers.

Detectives said two men approached Sanchez outside the food plant, opened fire on him and stole cash and his car. The vehicle was later recovered. A woman who was with Sanchez was not hurt.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Sheriff's tip line, accessible in Spanish or English, at 770-503-3232. Tips will remain confidential, and callers can remain anonymous, according to the Sheriff's Office.
