Georgia DOT will continue the widening of State Route 20 this week by adding fiber optic cable for communication between the corridor’s traffic signals. Construction will result in single lane closures between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. through June 28 on S.R. 20 between Sugar Hill Road and James Burgess Road in Sugar Hill.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction intermittently and is expected to create minor delays. Drivers are asked to slow down near the work zone since Georgia DOT contractors will be in close proximity to travel lanes.
