Hand over all your old bills, junk mail and other documents to the Milton Police.

The officers don’t want your papers or the information on them, but on one day in May, they’ll destroy them for free.

The Milton Police Department is partnering with I-Shred on May 15 for a free secure shredding event, where residents can safely shred all of their personal documents for free. I-Shred is a service company based in Alpharetta.

If you have a few boxes full of papers you’d like to shred, come early. It begins at 3 p.m. and will end at 6 p.m. or whenever I-Shred’s truck is full.

The event will be held at the Milton Police Department at 13000 Deerfield Parkway, Suite 107F.

The shredding is part of Milton’s “Police Week” events.

Folks with questions should call 678-242-2527.
