Shooting at DeKalb apartments leaves 2 in hospital

Two men are in the hospital after a shooting at a DeKalb County apartment complex Monday afternoon.

The men were at the Hidden Villas apartments on Panthersville Road in unincorporated Decatur around 3:30 p.m. when the shooting occurred, DeKalb County Police spokeswoman Bettina Durant said.

One man was rushed to an area hospital in serious condition. The other was transported with non-life-threatening injuries, Durant said.

The shooting remains under investigation, but it appears more than one handgun was fired, Durant said.

Durant said she had no information on suspects or a motive.
