The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted recently to approve the shooting of simulated artillery and simulated gunfire for a special event Nov. 11-13 at Nash Farm Park.

The Henry County Parks and Recreation Department, along with Friends of Nash Farm Battlefield Inc., will host a “living history” of Civil War activities on those days, according to a staff report. The county code prohibits possession of fireworks in a park or recreational area without written approval from the Board of Commissioners.
