Sunny and dry this weekend

Showers that impacted metro Atlanta most the week should begin to wind down overnight, and only light, spotty showers are expected early Saturday.

“And then as we get toward sunrise, we’re going to see the clouds breaking up,” Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton said.

Rain should clear early and make way for partly cloudy skies during the afternoon.

Highs in the upper 70s are expected Saturday and Sunday.
