Search underway on Lake Lanier for two missing Dawson County men
Dawson County authorities were on Lake Lanier Thursday, searching for two men reported missing a week ago.
Mason Cox and David Wood, both 20, disappeared Jan. 2 after leaving for a fishing trip, Channel 2 Action News reported last week.
Their fishing gear was found near Wood’s home.
Thursday, searchers were using a private barge to break through ice on the lake, and were planning to use sonar equipment to search the lake for the men, according to Channel 2.
