Lane closures along Scott Boulevard/ Lawrenceville Highway, between DeKalb Industrial Way and Jordan Lane, have been extended until Nov. 16, according to a press release.

The right eastbound traffic lane along Scott Boulevard/ Lawrenceville Highway, between DeKalb Industrial Way and Jordan Lane, will remain closed daily between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Additionally, the same area will remain closed daily between 9 a.m. and noon., for paving.

Jordan Lane also remains closed to through-traffic to accommodate construction of the Scott Boulevard Water Main Replacement Project, which includes the upsizing of nearly 2,400 feet of water pipe in the DeKalb Industrial Boulevard area.

Access to residences, the DeKalb County Utility Customer Operations Center, WorkSource DeKalb and other businesses on Jordan Lane is available from North Decatur Road.

Pedestrians and MARTA users have normal access from North Decatur Road. A walkway, fence, and signage are in place to direct pedestrians and MARTA users from Scott Boulevard/Lawrenceville Highway. Additionally, a message board, detour and roadway safety signs will be posted advising motorists about construction work and local traffic restrictions.

Motorists who use Jordan Lane to access Scott Boulevard/Lawrenceville Highway are urged to plan for extra commuting time. Jordan Lane closures and detour will be in effect until the work in the area is completed in November.
