The Forsyth County Board of Education has selected a contractor for planned additions and modifications at Lambert High School.

The board late last week approved Charles Black Construction Company, Inc. of Cleveland as the general contractor for the $6.2 million project, under which Lambert will add a two-story classroom structure, build more restrooms and expand the school’s band facilities. The project starts this summer and is set to finish by August of 2016.

The work’s being funded by the March 2014 school bond issue, and district officials say it’s being done because of rapid enrollment growth.
