Sandy Springs announced it will host a public information open house in February on proposed intersection improvements for Peachtree Dunwoody Road and Windsor Parkway, on the south side of town between Buckhead and the Medical Center.
The open house is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at Sandy Springs City Hall, 1 Galambos Way. Residents will be able to review and comment on concept designs for the project; a realignment of the intersection is proposed.
No formal presentation is planned, but city representatives will be available to discuss the project and answer questions, officials said.
“The intersection was identified by the city of Sandy Springs as a location which would benefit from safety and mobility improvements,” according to a city announcement.
Work would be funded by the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax approved by Fulton County residents outside Atlanta in November 2016. Information: https://bit.ly/2Tey3Vt
