Sandy Springs officials will hold a public information meeting and open house to preview design concepts for the south side of the Abernathy Greenway Linear Park. The meeting is set for 6p.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, at the Sandy Springs City Hall council chambers, 7840 Roswell Road, Building 500.
The greenway south project begins in the 200 block of Abernathy Road, ending just before the Fulton County Arts Center. Plans for the project include stream restoration, the addition of a walking and jogging trail and a green space area.
The first phase of the Abernathy Greenway Linear Park opened in July 2014, and extends along Abernathy Road between Brandon Mill and Wright Roads.
