The Fulton County Board of Education has tapped Florida educator Scott Hanson as the new principal of North Springs Charter High School in Sandy Springs.
Fulton officials said Hanson currently serves as principal of Conway Middle School in Orlando and has almost 20 years of experience in educational leadership and teaching, with 15 years of that at the high school level. He’ll take over at North Springs in June and replaces Eddie Ruiz, who relocated out of state.
North Springs is one of 17 high schools in the Fulton County system. Established in 1963, it has a reported enrollment of around 1, 600 students and offers dual magnet programs in the arts and sciences areas.
