Sandy Springs police are investigating a robbery that occurred Tuesday morning at a Wells Fargo bank along Roswell Road.
Investigators said the robbery happened just after 11 a.m. The suspect passed a note to the bank teller demanding cash and left the scene in a black Dodge Charger. A vehicle matching the suspect’s vehicle was later located by Sandy Springs police at the Walmart Supercenter on Ashford Dunwoody Road. However, police said that vehicle did not belong to the suspect.
A weapon was not displayed during the robbery, and police did could not confirm the exact amount of money taken from the bank. No arrests have been made.
Police officials describe the suspect as a black male with facial hair, wearing a bandage over one eye. The suspect was also wearing a blue and white-striped shirt and a white baseball hat during the incident.
