The Sandy Springs Planning Commission is to hear a rezoning request later this month for new restaurants and stores, an apartment tower and a hotel at the Concourse Corporate Center – home of the iconic “King and Queen” office buildings.

Building and Land Technology of Stamford, Conn., and Regent Partners of Atlanta seek approval for three restaurant/retail buildings totaling 24,500 square feet; a 125-room hotel, and an apartment tower with about 260 rental units for the site at 5900 Peachtree Dunwoody Road, according to city documents. An existing office building with 181,000 square feet is included in the project.

A variance for reduced parking and a use permit for increased building height for the hotel also are sought. The Planning Commission hearing is to begin at 6 p.m., Nov. 17 in Council Chambers at City Hall, 7840 Roswell Road.

Building and Land Technology acquired the 65-acre Concourse in April 2015 from Regent Partners, which stayed on as property manager.
