The city of Sandy Springs has put out the word it has $50,000 available as grants to local, non-profit agencies and community organizations for projects to be completed between July 1 and June 30, 2017.
To be eligible, applicants must be a 501(c)(3) organization in good standing, located in or substantially serving the residents of Sandy Springs.
It must support the goals and objectives of at least one of the city’s priorities: public safety, transportation, recreation and cultural enhancement, natural resource protection, community appearance, downtown development, sustainable growth or economic development. Funds cannot go toward operations, administration or fund raising.

Applicants must use the city’s online submission tool. Deadline is 5 p.m. July 1. The city has scheduled an optional training session for 1 p.m. June 14 in the City Hall Training Room, 7840 Roswell Road, Building 500, Sandy Springs.
