The Heritage Sandy Springs Farmers Market moves to the City Springs downtown redevelopment May 12 with an appearance by Rodney Martin, the new executive chef for the project.

Visitors will be able to shop the market with Martin starting at 8:30 a.m. and watch as he creates a “Market to Table” dish at 10 a.m.

Martin, who has more than 30 years of dining, catering, corporate dining and special events experience, will oversee all catering and event menus for meetings and events at the Conference Center at City Springs, the Studio Theatre, Byers Theatre, and CityBar, officials said.

The Farmers Market will be along Mount Vernon Highway between Bluestone Road and Galambos Way. It will be open from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturdays, offering fresh, local and organic produce, pasture-raised meat and pork products, farm fresh eggs and dairy products, and specialty and prepared foods.
