Roswell has won re-designation as a “PlanFirst Community” in recognition of the successful implementation of its comprehensive plan, city officials announced.

Communities so designated by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs are eligible for technical assistance, bonus points and incentives that include grant eligibility and reduced-interest loans.

According to a Community Affairs website, a PlanFirst applicant city "will be evaluated against four broad performance measures of community vision and goals, community leadership, community participation in the development of the comprehensive plan, and successful community implementation of that plan."

“We are proud to be recognized among Georgia’s cities as role models in community planning through our PlanFirst designation,” said Alice Wakefield, Roswell’s community development director.

Roswell has been a PlanFirst community since 2016, and the re-designation is good for three years, through 2021. Information: https://bit.ly/2QH3VAQ
