The Roswell City Council has approved street closures downtown for Sunday, Oct. 6, for the seventh annual edition of the Roswell Wine Festival.

Lower Canton Street will be closed from Norcross to Magnolia streets from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Upper Canton from Norcross to Woodstock Road, from noon to 5 p.m.; and Elizabeth Way from Canton to Alpharetta Street (Ga. 9), from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The festival will run from 2 to 5 p.m., featuring the wines of participating restaurants along Canton Street. Event proceeds will benefit the Roswell North Elementary Foundation to build a new outdoor classroom, and two other organizations to be announced, according to the festival's Facebook page.
