Roswell is advising residents to expect delays in curbside yard waste pickups by Advanced Disposal, the city’s waste hauler, because of the volume of debris produced by the recent inclement weather.

“While Advanced Disposal adds additional crews, please expect delays for the next couple of weeks,” the city said. “The city is asking that you place your yard waste at the curb and leave it there until it can be picked it up.”

Branches and tree limbs should not exceed 4 feet in length or 6 inches in diameter or weigh more than 75 pounds, and must be stacked neatly at the curb. Other yard waste must be placed in paper composting sacks or a 50-gallon metal or plastic container marked as yard waste, and lids must be left off for identification purposes by the driver.

Yard waste collection is limited to 12 bags or containers and/or loose materials; the combined volume cannot exceed two cubic yards.
