Keep Roswell Beautiful offers “Bring One for the Chipper” on Saturday, Jan. 5, giving residents a place to drop off their live Christmas trees for recycling

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at two Home Depot stores in Roswell: 1580 Holcomb Bridge Road, in the Holcomb Woods Shopping Center; and 870 Woodstock Road, across from the Publix supermarket, officials said.

Davey Tree Expert Co. will grind the trees into mulch, available for delivery to the public. To request mulch: https://bit.ly/1MDs4hh

Sponsors beside Davey in the 29th annual edition of the statewide effort to reuse Christmas trees are Home Depot, 11Alive/WXIA-TV and the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation. Keep Roswell Beautiful collected 5,075 trees in 2018 and was awarded the Bring One for the Chipper Award from Keep Georgia Beautiful for collecting the most trees per capita of any state affiliate.

Residents are asked not to drop off trees before Jan. 5. Information or to volunteer: Vicki Culbreth, vculbreth@roswellgov.com, or 770-641-3742.
