An extension of Old Ellis Road in Roswell is the subject of a public information open house Thursday evening, Oct. 25.
The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Suite 170 of the Lake View I Building at Sanctuary Park, 1105 Lakewood Parkway, Alpharetta.
Old Ellis will be extended from its current western terminus to intersect with the recently completed Sun Valley Drive Phase I, construction that will take about two to three years, officials said.
Plans call for improvements along the existing Old Ellis, a roundabout at Old Ellis and Sun Valley, and a bridge over Foe Killer Creek, officials said. The project will be about 1.1 miles in length and include 11-foot travel lanes, a 12-foot center turn lane from just east of the creek to Old Roswell Road, 4-foot bike lanes, curbs and gutters, and a 5-foot sidewalk and 10-foot shared-use path.
The North Fulton Community Improvement District is helping to fund the design phase, officials said. No funds have been identified yet for right-of-way acquisition or construction.
