Hannah Solar has been named the designated installer for “Solarize Roswell,” a campaign its organizers say leverages the power of bulk purchasing to reduce costs of solar energy and battery storage.
From April 10 through Aug. 31, businesses, homeowners, non-profit organizations and municipal buildings will be offered a free solar evaluation by Hannah and the option of signing a contract to install a solar system, officials said. The Solarize Roswell launch event is 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, in the Cowie Weiss Theater at Chattahoochee Nature Center. Information: https://bit.ly/2FAe2TJ
Campaign organizers include the city, Chattahoochee Nature Center, Keep Roswell Beautiful, Environment Georgia, Georgia Interfaith Power and Light and Solar Crowdsource. Competitive bidding led them to select Hannah Solar, one of the largest solar contractors in the state with more than 450 installations completed, officials said.
Previous “Solarize” campaigns resulted in the installation of more than 400 rooftop solar arrays on Tybee Island and in Savannah, Athens, Decatur-DeKalb County, Dunwoody, Atlanta and Carrollton-Carroll County, officials said.
“We are excited to partner with Solarize Roswell to bring renewable and environmentally friendly options to our community,” said Vicki Culbreth, executive director of Keep Roswell Beautiful.
